I drew a chart and wrote a pattern for a flower garden granny square. The chart is in Japanese manner, and the written pattern is in English. I hope it works all right to help someone who wants to try this project.

Mille's Puffed Rings "two new Granny Squares"

Mille's Puffed Rings

I've been thinking of making a blanket with a ring pattern for a while, and have finally made
one that I'm pleased with :) It is composed of two differend squares, one with a small ring
and one with a large one. This gives the design sort of an optical image, an effect I think will
come across even clearer when all the rings would be made in the same colour.

For this granny square, as for my Primavera flowers baby blanket I used 100% cotton yarn 125m/50gr called "Golf" manufactured by St. George, and 3.5 mm crochet hook.

Giant, Giant Granny Square Blanket

As a child we often travelled to my maternal grandparent’s house for the holidays. I loved my Grandma Cordelia’s old house, especially all of its treasure-filled nooks and crannies and all of the big beds deep with homemade blankets, quilts and coverlets.

A warning. This isn’t an exact pattern. Depending on the size of your granny square will change the count for the edging and really that is all this blanket is… a traditional granny square with a fancy edging. The hat is a bit more exact.  The hat fits a 0-3 month baby.

Modern Traditional Granny Square Blanket

This is my first Granny Square Blanket and I really enjoyed making it. It's made up of  40 Traditional Granny Squares that are 8 inches in width, before the white border. I wanted to make it because when my brother and I were born my mom received baby blankets for us. I still have mine to this day and I"m 36 years old. Mine is a twin size. I figured if mine lasted this long this one might too.

Granny Square Tunisian Throw

This Granny Square Tunisian Throw will look great draped over your family room sofa and will definitely add a pop of color to any room of your home. The tunisian crochet stitch is used to complete this free crochet afghan pattern. This is an easy pattern to complete using Lion Brand Vanna's Choice yarn in any color combination you prefer. Use yarn colors that match your home decor, or go with something totally off-the-wall. Either way, the geometric design of this free crochet pattern is stunning.

Fantasy Granny Afghan

Fantasy Granny Afghan

Square Afghan will measure approximately 5.25 Feet square using 14 balls of 100 g or 3.5 oz yarn balls. Use more balls if desired to be bigger.

Each square took me roughly 9 minutes each to complete. This afghan has 128 squares and was assembled on a diagonal instead of horizontal axis. To get the same size in a horizontal axis, you will need 143 squares instead and you will need 3 extra balls to pull off the 143 squares.

11 Balls were used for the squares and three were used for the attaching and perimeter of this afghan.

Granny Hexagon

Those of you who follow along on Facebook may have already seen my latest WIP … my granny hexagon afghan. I am so in love with this project!

And since so many people seemed interested in making their own, I thought I would share the pattern with you.

It starts with a traditional granny hexagon pattern. I am sure there are many variations in how the granny hexagons can be worked, but this is how I do it.
One of the fun parts for me is always picking out the colors.  And this was a great opportunity for me to use some of the colors that I have left over from in my Kaleidoscopic Afghan.
Here’s what I chose …
